These are my paintings from the past couple of years. I have an art class that Im attending in school. Im going to try and change some of my classes this year so I'll have my math, english, history, art, and then two extra art classes. Im switching both my science class and french class for maybe sculpting and painting. I already have my science credits and I dont need a language to go to the college that I picked. As you scroll down you'll see my most recent ones. The first 4 were from a couple of years ago. Heheh.. Like the Frog. That one I did when I was like 10 or 11.
I would like to point out that this is not my origonal idea. It is my version of Thomas Kincaids, "Bridge Of Faith" Although it is nowhere "near" as detailed as his, for my first sceanory picture, I think it came out well. It took alot of time to do since I could only work on it in my art class and I went to art class ounce a week then. It was nice. I learned alot more about fading and lighting(one of the things Thomas Kincaid has in ALL his pictures) by the last couple of classes I didnt want to even look at the picture. I was so sick of it.((lol)) What made it even harder was that the picture I was copying it from was very SMALL and so was the CaNvAs I was painting it on to(Atleast for a sceanory picture.. You dont want to paint a detailed picture on a "small" canvas-TRUST ME you dont..lol)
Horses arent my favorite animal but there interesting to paint because they have so much muscle. It helps you with lighting(to make it look more three dimensional). My art teacher,Antionette, absolutely LoVeS horses and so she showed me alot with that picture(how they move, thier structure, all that GoOd stuff) I was hopeing the clouds would come out better but it was the first time I tried painting rembrant clouds and had no real experience. You'll notice that most of my pictures are "firsts" anyways because Im still learning through them. The back ground looked very mystical and so I was trying to achieve that. You can only be the judge of that. The best thing about this painting was when I gave it to my Aunt Debra. It was a Christmas present and she already loved it(she likes horses) She assumed what it was but it was only when she actually opened it did she get all excited. She even cried! Tehehe~ It makes me feel good when people see something in my artwork. That was the best feeling.
I did this picture as an exercise in one of my art classes a while ago. I used to draw and paint nothing "but" cats. I loved them. This is the last cat picture Ive done in a while. Im better at pastel because Ive done that longer. This was actually one of my first oil paintings. In this exercise, I could only use two colors, Brown and white.
FROG>>>Out of all the mediums, watercolors would be my favorite. Its easy, Its not as messy as pastels. The only thing you have to watch is making sure your colors dont bleed together. I dont really find anything special about this frog picture. I just see it as another exercise. Its not like it expresses some "unique" quality about the artist(although thats a funny thought if it DID..heheheheh) Making it was fun.Lot of lime colors.
MY LILLY!! I love my lilly. Its the one picture that Im truely proud of. Its got that pretty pink to it (Even though I'm not a fan of the color pink.) I did it in water color so it wuz easier. ^-^ This is my favorite picture of the school year. Flowers are easier to paint than any other thing I can do. It was a fun project.
I started on this mural over the summer time. I just wanted to do something really fun and unrealistic. I havent had the chance to finish it yet but as soon as I do, I want to put black lights around it and make it glow. Just to have a fun atmosphere in my room. I like the flashy colors on it.
