My art class for this year had us do a pencil sketch of anything of our choice. We had to color the paper with the pencil first and then erase the highlights. I chose a cheetah because I absolutely love cats. Cheetahs are beautiful so I thought it would be the best thing for my project.
I believe one of the most stupidest-and yet funnest- projects I've had this year in school was having to draw a picture in Crayon. I was never 'fond' of crayons.. Only when I was five... heheh I did a picture of my sister. I overexagurated her features by the way she puts on her make up and how she puts the body jewels on her face. I didnt really focus on anything else in the picture but her face. Thats why her sholders and the rest of her just look so boring. I did some trippy back ground just to go with the colors of her face.
Every year, I end up doing only a couple of water color pictures. But since I dont get to work with water colors that much I'm really excited when I do. I can just have fun with the picture and thats when I do my best.
I used a picture of a tiger out of "International Wildlife Magazine" as a guidline for this picture. I love the eyes because it brings out the whole cat. Watercolors are the best medium for me to work with I believe. I think its because at my old art class, my teachers made me do a whole bunch of them before I could start oil painting. It was really fun to paint.
This picture I havent fully finished yet. some other projects came up and I never got to finish.The picture is done on velvet. It was a thing we had to do in my ap class. I didnt think it would be that fun but it is. I was doing a picture of some model out of a magazine but she looked like she needed new clothes on and bubbles around her so I drew that in..I took this picture of the girl in my kitchen because it was too big to scan so it looks kind of weird.
Im working on this tiger picture for the fun of it. I saw this one pic of a tiger and decided to draw something like it. I have one in ink and one that Im going to color. I havent finished the painting nore have I put in the deep black swirls in it yet. Its fun and not completely detailed eithor.
